The Guild Hall of Einarth

Every tale needs a keeper.
Every keeper needs a road.

Across Einarth, Bards carry stories from hall to hall, hearth to hearth, and shore to shore. If one has found its way into your hands, hear the tale, report the encounter, and honor the Bard's calling.

One tale is entrusted to one Bard. Some travel the Far Roads. Others keep a local posting. Every encounter becomes part of the Guild Ledger.

The Guild's Maps

From Einarth to the Far Roads

The Guild keeps two kinds of map: the lands where its tales are born, and the Far Roads where its Bards are encountered. Every report adds another mark to the record.

The Guild's Practice

When a Bard finds you

Every encounter follows the same custom, though each Bard may have a different calling.

I

Encounter a Bard

You may meet a Bard in a library, café, hotel, ship, waiting room, Little Free Library, or wherever the road has led.

II

Hear the Tale

Keep the Bard long enough to hear the tale in full. Some stories ask for an hour. Others may travel beside you for days.

III

Report the Encounter

Scan the mark inside and enter your meeting in the Guild Ledger. Your report becomes another line in that Bard's history.

IV

Honor the Calling

Send a Traveling Bard onward to a new place, or return a Local Bard to its posting so the next traveler may meet it.

The Register of Bards

Every tale is entrusted to one Bard

When a new tale enters the Guild, one physical Bard is entrusted with carrying it. Every Bard keeps a single ledger of encounters, roads, postings, and known whereabouts.

Every report becomes part of that Bard's permanent Guild record. Use a first name, initials, or nickname if you prefer.

Where did the Bard find you?

Your general location helps the Guild map the encounter. Never enter a street address.

Honor the Bard and the road

01

Hear the tale with care

You are holding the one Guild Bard entrusted with carrying this tale.

02

Report the encounter

Enter your meeting in the Guild Ledger so future listeners can see the road that brought the Bard to them.

03

Protect the Bard

Keep the Bard in readable condition and do not sell or permanently keep a Guild copy.

04

Honor its calling

If it travels, leave it somewhere another listener can find it. If it is local, return it to its posting.
